About Alison
Psychiatric care that finally takes you seriously.
Alison brings dual training as a Certified Nurse-Midwife and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to every appointment — because your hormones and your mental health have never been separate.
Alison has spent her career at the intersection of women's reproductive health and mental health — two fields that are deeply connected and too rarely treated together.
As a Certified Nurse-Midwife, Alison spent years accompanying women through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and the full arc of reproductive life. She saw firsthand how hormonal shifts shaped mood, cognition, anxiety, and identity — and how often those experiences were minimized or misattributed.
She returned to school to become a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specifically to close that gap. The result is a practice that holds both: the midwifery lens that centers the whole person and the full hormonal context, and the psychiatric training to diagnose, treat, and prescribe with precision.
Alison practices via telehealth, which means you can access care from wherever you are — without the barrier of travel, childcare, or a waiting room.
Alison, CNM, PMHNP
A different kind of psychiatric care.
Most psychiatric care treats symptoms in isolation. Alison treats you in context — your hormonal history, your reproductive experiences, your life stage, and the ways those factors shape your mental health.
She believes that women have been dismissed, misdiagnosed, and undertreated for too long. That PMDD is real. That perimenopause can look like a new psychiatric illness. That postpartum anxiety is as serious as postpartum depression. That your cycle is clinical data.
Alignment exists because that kind of care should be accessible — and because you deserve a provider who already understands the terrain.
Unhurried
Initial appointments are 60 minutes. Follow-ups are never rushed. Your story takes as long as it takes.
